Desired areas for improvement stated as questions.

1.         Interpersonal communication. How to develop “relationship capital” with others and improve interpersonal relationships at work?
How to gain trust, respect and loyalty.

How to improve conversational skills one on one. How to deal with awkward moments in meetings to verbalize thoughts.

2.         Conflict resolution. How to deal with conflict, sour relationships, or confront sub par work performance in subordinates?

3.         Leadership. How to become an inspirational leader, to motivate, have high energy and foster commitment from others?


What would be the Ideal? What is the Dream?

Take each of these concepts and imagine what would the ideal look like for each.

1.         In your imagination if you were the kind of person who was able to develop relationship capital with others and have strong interpersonal relationships, what would it look like?

What behaviors, attitudes, values or lifestyle would you have?
List them here:

2.         What would a person who is able to positively deal with conflict, turn around sour relationships and who is able to confront poor work performance look like?

List the behaviors, attitudes or values that this person would be showing in their interactions. 

3.         What would an inspirational leader able to motive and have high energy look like? 

What behaviors, attitudes, values or lifestyle would you have? (What does it look like to be an inspirational leader? How would you know that you are an inspirational leader?)

List them here:


Goals and Objectives. A Goal is a dream with a deadline. Objectives are small steps to the goal.

1.         What would you like to accomplish that can be observed by someone else in the three areas above?

Choose at least one goal for each of the areas about.  Give a date when you want these goal accomplished.

Goal example: By August 15 I will weigh 195 pounds.

2.         What small steps might you take to reach this goal? Write down objectives that will help you achieve it. For example: I will go to the gym three times a week. I will hire a personal trainer. I will read fitness websites daily. I will eat three meals with protein in each meal, plus protein shake in the afternoon.  I will drink a gallon of water each day.

What relationships, networks or resources are on your side?


2. What in your life is keeping your from achieving your goals? Are there negative relationships, habits, or lack of resources that are hindering you?


3. What can you do to overcome the obstacles and increase or foster what is helping?
